Dynamite Entertainment teased a number of 2022 launches, as it reported big sales increases in the Covid era in its Diamond Retailer Summit presentation. Dynamite’s year-to-date dollar sales are up 42.4% over the same period in 2020, the company reported. And 2020’s sales overall were up 29.9% over 2019’s, despite the seven-week Diamond shutdown in April and May (see “Diamond To Resume Distribution“), which affected both Dynamite’s comic store and book channel sales, as it is a Diamond Book Distributors client.
The three new comic launches are:
Pantha, written by Tom Sniegoski and Neanine Acheson, with art by Igor Lima, will ship in January. Returns will be available with a small minimum order. This is the first Pantha series in ten years (see “Dynamite Launching Ongoing ‘Pantha’ Comic“).
Hell Sonja, written by Christopher Hastings, with art by Pasquale Qualano, will also launch in January. The series flows out of Sonjaversal (see “Preview: ‘Sonjaversal’ #1“). Like Pantha, returns are available on the first issue with a minimum order

Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files: Bigfoot, a 160-page graphic novel hardcover, will launch in Q1 2022. Written by Jim Butcher and Mark Powers, with art by Joe Cooper, Bigfoot will be Dynamite’s sixth original Dresden Files graphic novel. Source: ICv2
