Mayfair Games Reveals 2024 Games Lineup; Mayfair Shield Logo Residual Claims Released
Mayfair Games announced that they will release an Empire Builder Series game as part of their 2024 lineup.
The Empire Builder Series, a popular line of railroad games designed by the late Darwin Bromley (see “Darwin Bromley“), will be heading back to market. Mayfair Games recently licensed the popular game series from studio partners Darwin’s Toys in December 2023 to make a yearly installment of Empire Builder among the games to be printed under the Mayfair Shield logo in 2024. Other titles coming in 2024 include Co2 (Vital Lacerda), Celtae, and Cafe from Studio partner Pythagoras (see “Pythagoras Games Titles“).
“Growing up a fan of Mayfair Games, it is truly an honor to be able to carry on the legacy of one of the classic game companies of our time and introduce old favorites as well as new titles to a new generation of gamers,” said Sean Brown, co-owner of Mayfair Games.
In addition to the Empire Builder news, Webbed Sphere, Inc. also revealed that Asmodee North America will release all residual right, title, and interest in to the new ownerships claim of the Mayfair Games name, Marks, IP and the goodwill associated therewith going forward. Webbed Sphere, Inc. recently registered the Mayfair Games trademark and Shield logo in 2023 after the trademarks for the once popular brand of games had been abandoned at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (see “Mayfair Games to Return“).
