Bundle up before heading out to complete the event’s Timed Research, titled Winter Wishes. Kick off your research by choosing between double XP or double Stardust for catching Pokémon. From there, complete your tasks to receive items and encounters with winter-themed Pokémon. This research will continue through Winter Holiday Part 1 and Winter Holiday Part 2, so you have lots of time to enjoy the wintry revelry.
Two different paid Timed Research tickets are also available. The first ticket is available for US$2.00 and provides access to a two-part Timed Research. Trainers who complete this research during Winter Holiday Part 1 will earn two Premium Raid Passes as well as event-themed encounters with Psyduck wearing holiday attire, Spheal wearing a holiday scarf, and Cryogonal. Completing research for Part 2 will reward Trainers with two additional Premium Raid Passes and more Pokémon encounters, including Cubchoo wearing a holiday ribbon.
The second ticket is available for US$5.00 and offers Trainers the chance to earn an event-themed avatar pose, double the Candy for catching Pokémon, and yet more event-themed Pokémon encounters. Research must be completed by December 31, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time. And, as always, Trainers can give the gift of research to friends they’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with.
