As 2023 winds down and we enter the holiday season, it’s a terrific time to join your family and friends to catch up on (or revisit) all the Pokémon animation that’s available to enjoy. There have been plenty of thrilling new series and specials, beloved classics, and even an exciting show that’s coming soon!
Every Tuesday throughout December, you’ll even be able to tune in to the official Pokémon Twitch channel to enjoy a special holiday marathon. The marathons begin at 2:00 p.m. PST, so don’t miss a minute of the fun.
Watch Ash battle alongside his longtime partner Pikachu to become the Pokémon World Champion in Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, which is available now on Netflix. You can also catch a collection of special episodes called Pokémon: To Be a Pokémon Master that follows the duo after their incredible victory as they travel down memory lane. And be sure to tune in to Netflix on December 28, 2023, for the premiere of Pokémon Concierge. This stop-motion animated series is set in the Pokémon Resort, a vacation destination for Pokémon.
There’s plenty to discover on the official Pokémon YouTube channel. Check out Pokémon: Paldean Winds, a new four-episode animated series that follows the adventures of three academy students in the Paldea region as they follow their dreams. A young girl named Ava discovers her passion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game and sets her goal to rise to the top of the Championship Series in Pokémon: Path to the Peak, and the world-famous detective is back to uncover the truth about a wayward treat in the animated short Detective Pikachu & the Mystery of the Missing Flan.
The official Pokémon YouTube channel is also home to multiple limited animated series that take viewers further into the world of Pokémon. Be on the lookout for these shows:
You can also see the stories of rival Pokémon Trainers Red and Blue as they battle through the Kanto region in Pokémon Origins, which is available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.

That’s a whole lot of Pokémon animation to enjoy, but there’s even more on the horizon! Pokémon Horizons: The Series is coming to Netflix on February 23, 2024. This new series follows the adventures of Liko and Roy—along with their partner Pokémon, Sprigatito and Fuecoco—as they set off on a journey across different regions with new companions and adorable Pokémon. Along the way, they’ll receive help from Friede, Captain Pikachu, and the other Rising Volt Tacklers as they work to evade a mysterious group known as the Explorers. You can watch the trailer for Pokémon Horizons: The Series now, and there’s even an extended sneak peek of the first 11 minutes of the series’ first episode.
