Ten Speed Press, Ten Speed Graphic, and Clarkson Potter have announced new hires and an expanded licensing program.
Eric Klopfer, formerly Editorial Director for the Entertainment List at Abrams, has come on board as Publishing Director, Licensing, for all three imprints. Kaitlin Ketchum, Editorial Director of Art, Graphic, and Popular Culture, Ten Speed, is heading up the newly created Ten Speed Graphic (see “Ten Speed Press Launches Graphic Novel Imprint”) and will work with Klopfer on licensing.
The imprints also announced two other new hires: Paola Crespo, former Senior Marketing Manager for Orbit at Hachette Book Group, will be the new Assistant Marketing Director, Graphic and Licensing, for Ten Speed Press, Clarkson Potter, and Ten Speed Graphic. And Maya Bradford, who began her career at Abrams and Abrams ComicArts before becoming Director of Publicity at Melville House, will be the Assistant Publicity Director, Graphic and Licensing, for the three imprints.
Shaida Boroumand continues in her position as Associate Editorial Director, Licensing and Pop Culture, Ten Speed, with upcoming titles that include Dungeons & Dragons Lore & Legends, Heroes’ Feast: Flavors of the Multiverse, and The Witcher Official Cookbook.
The three imprints publish a variety of graphic novels and RPG and media tie-ins, including the Eisner- and Hugo-nominated Dungeons & Dragons: Art & Arcana (see “Massive Visual History of ‘Dungeons & Dragons’”), the D&D Young Adventurer’s Guides (see “Jim Zub Pens ‘D&D Young Adventurer’s Guides’”), adaptations of George R.R. Martin’s work (see “Preview: ‘Voyaging, Vol. One: The Plague Star’ TP”), and original graphic novels (see “Graphic Memoir by Ai Weiwei”).
