Everything you need to know about Akari & Hisuian Samurott in Pokémon Masters EX

DeNA is continuing to add more events and new features to Pokémon Masters EX on a regular basis. Read on below to learn more:

Team up with this sync pair from ancient Hisui and have a Ceaseless Edge on the opposition.

More time travel shenanigans come to Pasio! Akari and Rei have a fateful encounter with a space-time rift and end up being whisked away to Pasio. There, they meet up with old friends Adaman and Irida and get to know new faces in Dawn, Lucas, and the Sinnoh Champion, Cynthia. Follow along as they sharpen their battling skills as sync pairs and discover what mysteries await them in their new home in Pokémon Masters EX’s latest Story Event, Together in an Unknown Land.

Akari & Samurott are a Dark-type field sync pair that excel at working together with other Dark types. Their Trainer move Mutual Understanding! creates a Dark Zone—a field effect that increases the damage of all Dark-type moves. This benefits Akari & Samurott’s buddy move, Top Performer Ceaseless Edge, not to mention the attacks of allied Dark-type sync pairs. With this boost to your entire team, you can quickly triumph against the toughest foes!

For more details on this sync pair’s passive skills and moves, check out Akari & Samurott’s in-game sync pair scout screen. Akari & Samurott are available to scout from the Akari Poké Fair Scout until October 18, 2023, at 10:59 p.m.

  • The Masked Royal & Incineroar
Akari & Samurott and the Masked Royal & Incineroar may look like an unusual combination, but they work together incredibly well. Akari & Samurott’s Dark Zone powers up the Masked Royal & Incineroar’s Dark-type moves, including their sync move, Heel Turn Malicious Moonsault. The Masked Royal & Incineroar can also contribute to the allied side’s physical damage by reducing the Defense of their targets with their passive skill, Dishearten 9. With both sources of increased damage in place, these two sync pairs will certainly deliver a malicious edge. The Masked Royal & Incineroar are available to scout from the general pool of 5★ sync pairs, as well as from the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout and the 5★-Guaranteed Alola Ticket Scout.
  • Sonia & Yamper
Akari & Samurott’s passive skill Survey Corps Teachings immediately raises their Attack by four stat ranks and critical-hit rate by three stat ranks, making them fairly self-sufficient. Sonia & Yamper, though, can take them the rest of the way with their Trainer move Ruff Buff! As with the Masked Royal & Incineroar, Sonia & Yamper can also increase the pressure by reducing the Defense of their target with their passive skill Defense Crush 9, further heightening the damage Akari & Samurott can do under their Dark Zone. Sonia & Yamper are available to scout from the general pool of 5★ sync pairs, as well as from the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout and the 5★-Guaranteed Galar Ticket Scout.
