Both are Adaptations of the Jagex Ltd. MMORPG
Steamforged Games announced that preorder for both the RuneScape Kingdoms board game and RPG will be launching soon.
Both games were originally announced back in January 2022 as part of a licensing deal with Jagex Ltd (see “‘Runescape’ for Tabletop“). RuneScape Kingdoms: Shadow of Elvarg board game was crowd-funded in May 2022 (see “‘RuneScape Kingdoms: Shadow of Elvarg’“) via a Kickstarter campaign that raked in approximately $1,094,581 (converted from Pounds sterling) from 6,634 backers (about $165 per backer). RuneScape Kingdoms: The Roleplaying Game, which uses the bespoke 3d6 dice system, will hit preorder in late September 2023. Steamforged is also offering a Collector’s Edition for this book as a direct exclusive.
