“A Show of Supporters” Tera Raid Battle event featuring Grimmsnarl, Hatterene and Blissey now underway in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet until August 31 leading up to a Mighty Mewtwo Showdown

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available for Nintendo Switch.

​To prepare for the appearance of Mewtwo with the Mightiest Mark, additional Tera Raid Battle events will be held, allowing you to easily get ahold of stat-boosting items, TMs, Exp. Candies, and Tera Shards!

From Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 00:00 UTC to Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 23:59 UTC—then again from Friday, September 1, 2023, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, September 17, 2023, at 23:59 UTC—Scizor, Blissey, and Hydreigon will be appearing more frequently in Tera Raid Battles. These Pokémon will have various Tera Types, so prepare wisely before challenging them!

In a Tera Raid Battle, you’ll work together with three other Trainers to defeat a powerful Tera Pokémon before time runs out. The kinds of Pokémon encountered during Tera Raid Battle events will vary. Pokémon encountered in Tera Raid Battles may have a rare Tera Type.

Mewtwo is coming soon to 7-star Tera Raid Battles, and you can prepare for this legendary challenge by adding some new allies to your team! Scizor, Blissey, and Hydreigon are appearing more frequently in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet 5-star Tera Raid Battles from Thursday, August 8, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, August 17, 2023, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, then again from Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, September 17, 2023, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.

Mewtwo is sure to be a formidable foe—and it’s got the Mightiest Mark to prove it—so get ready to strike back with Blissey’s valuable support moves, Scizor’s supereffective Bug-type attacks, and Hydreigon’s Dark-type immunity to Psychic-type damage!

For the opportunity to encounter these Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles, you’ll need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. You can do this by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News. After that, whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon.

Mewtwo with the Mightiest Mark will be appearing in black crystal Tera Raid Battles from Friday, September 1, 2023, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, September 17, 2023, at 23:59 UTC.

Mewtwo cannot normally be encountered in Paldea, and the Mewtwo appearing during this event has Psychic as its Tera Type. Be prepared—this Pokémon is a formidable foe, and it’s got the Mightiest Mark to prove it! Work together with your friends to topple this powerful Tera Pokémon!

This special Mewtwo can be caught only once per save data. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Mewtwo to obtain other rewards if you’ve already caught it.

Mewtwo may be featured in future events or become obtainable through other methods.
