After the iconic Mark III suit was damaged in battle, Stark designed the upgraded Mark IV and introduced it with a flashy grand entrance at the Stark Expo. The Mark IV armor differs from its predecessor with a more streamlined design and edged armor plates, but still retains Iron Man’s signature red and gold paint colors.
