Gen Con News 2023: IMPD Seeks Persons of Interest in $300,000 ‘Magic’ Card Heist

The Indianapolis Metro Police Department have requested the public’s assistance in finding two men who have been identified as persons of interest in the theft of $300,000 worth of Magic: The Gathering cards from Gen Con 2023.

The cards were stolen from the Indianapolis Convention Center vendor storage area on August 2, 2023, prior to the opening of the show, and the product stolen were primarily Commander Masters sealed cases (see “‘Magic: The Gathering’ Grand Theft at Gen Con 2023“). The two individuals who are persons of interest in this case are Thomas Dunbar and Andrew Pearson Giaume, aka Pearson Giaume (see Twitter post below for pictures). Both suspects reside in New York City, and are being sought by IMPD for questioning. Anyone with any information on their whereabouts should call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.
