New Yorker cartoonist Roz Chast has a new graphic narrative due out this fall. Bloomsbury will publish I Must Be Dreaming, an exploration of Chast’s own dreams as well theories about dreams and their meaning, as a 128-page hardcover on October 24, 2023.
While Chast is best known for her single-panel cartoons, her long-form works have been popular with readers as well. Her Going Into Town: A Love Letter to New York, was one of the top 20 graphic novels of 2017 in the book channel (see “Full Year 2017 BookScan”); her previous book, Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant?, made a number of BookScan’s monthly top 20 lists and was also nominated for an Eisner Award and shortlisted for a National Book Award (see “‘Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant?’ Makes Short List”).
