Exploding Kittens announced Anarchy Pancakes, a new Spot It collaboration game, which is now available at Target and on their website. This game will hit hobby retail in 2024.
Like Spot It (see “‘Spot It!’“), Anarchy Pancakes is a fast-paced matching game. Each player starts with seven pancake cards with odd toppings like an earthworm, a flaming donut, or a skull wearing a party hat. Players then engage in a frenzy where they try to match their pancake cards’ toppings to other players’ toppings, ultimately forming pancake stacks. The first player to unload their cards and shout “Anarchy pancakes!” wins the round and is rewarded with a Slab ‘O Butter. The player that achieves two Slabs ‘O Butter first, wins the game.
“With travel back in full force this year, we’re seeing our players prioritizing portability in their games so that they can play anywhere,” said Carol Mertz, Senior Game Designer at Exploding Kittens. “Anarchy Pancakes is not only a convenient size to toss in your bag, but also provides hilarious, loud, and lively entertainment for the whole family.”
This game is for two to six players, aged 7 and up, and plays in five minutes per round. It will retail for $13.99.
Exploding Kittens recently released Block Block Burrito, a new expansion pack for Throw Throw Burrito or Throw Throw Avocado (see “New ‘Throw Throw Burrito’“).
