Trick or Treat Studios has placed Halloween, a new board game based on the classic 1978 film John Carpenter horror film, onto preorder with an estimated ship date of September 15, 2023.
This game was first announced as one of ICv2’s Pick Hits in the most recent issue of Internal Correspondence. The game, designed by Emerson Matsuuchi and Nathan Thomas Milliner, is a one vs. many style game where multiple players take on the roles of kids in the movie and a single player stalks them in the night as the menacing Michael Myers. Players must pick up weapons and dodge Myers’ ambushes in this hidden movement game as they attempt to survive the night.
Halloween is for two to four players and plays in 60 minutes. It will retail for $59.95.
Trick of Treat Studios will also release Gold West 2E, an updated version of the classic prospecting game designed by J. Alex Kevern with art by Vincent Dutrait, into retail (see “‘Gold West 2E’ into Retail“).
