Vesuvius Media’s new game, To Glory!, is currently on Kickstarter and has surpassed its funding goal of $10,000 with over $31,000 raised so far.
To Glory! is a pirate-themed, family game that puts players in the role of a captain on a pirate ship, searching for hidden treasure while avoiding enemy ships, the gun tower, and the Kraken. The game is designed by Stuart Ellis and is a dexterity, pick up and deliver game for 2-4 players, ages 7 and up.
During the game, players execute a combination of actions to score victory points by firing wooden cubes at opponents, trying to land a direct hit, knock the opposing captain overboard, or land on their target ship. The main objective of the game is to explore islands and follow the marks on treasure maps to recover hidden treasures that award additional victory points.
The Kickstarter campaign for To Glory! launched on April 19 and runs until May 12. The standard pledge is $45 USD and includes the core game and all applicable stretch goals. The deluxe edition pledge, priced at $70 USD, includes the core game, 10 metal treasure chests, 50 metal coins, and all applicable stretch goals.
According to Konstantinos Manos, CEO of Vesuvius Media, To Glory! is a fun and easy-to-teach game that is perfect for family game night. “We loved creating Catapult Feud so much that we made another fun, dexterity game that’s perfect for family game night,” said Manos. “This time, instead of launching boulders from catapults, you’re firing cannons off your pirate ship! The 3D ships, tower, and kraken make an awesome impression on the table.”
