Ruth Carter and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever wins for “Best Costume”

Ruth Carter took home the Oscar for her costume work on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She previously won the Oscar for Costume Design for Black Panther in 2019, the first African-American to do so.

She’s a four time Academy Award nominee, having been nominated for Malcom X, Amistad, and the first Black Panther. She has been nominated for awards 84 times and won 45 times of those.
