Dr. Finn’s Games Launches Kickstarter Campaign for Two New Games: Alpujarras and Fisheries of Gloucester

Steve Finn of Dr. Finn’s Games, the designer behind the popular games Biblios and Herbaceous, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for two new games: Alpujarras and Fisheries of Gloucester. With 17 days left to go, the campaign has already received $14,000 in pledges towards its $20,000 goal.

While the two games differ in theme, player count, length of play, and mechanics, they both offer an engaging gaming experience with high-quality components and stunning artwork by Ossi Hiekkala.

In Alpujarras, players compete to earn the most dirhems (silver coins) by moving their mules around the action track, adding farmers and growing fruit, and delivering their harvest to earn delivery tokens and cards. The game ends when all players reach the final track spaces, and the player with the most dirhems wins.

Fisheries of Gloucester, on the other hand, challenges players to catch and preserve fish over the course of six rounds. Players must sail their ships through the designated ocean tiles, land on islands to earn points, and earn preservation cards by turning in fish of specific types or quantities. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Both games offer a variety of interesting choices and straightforward gameplay that is sure to appeal to gamers of all skill levels.

Backers have the option to pledge for one or both games, with additional rewards available for those who choose to support the project. Those who pledge for Alpujarras will receive a free Farmers’ Feud promo pack, while those who pledge for Fisheries of Gloucester will receive a free Fishermen’s Feud promo pack. Backers can also add an Express version of the corresponding game to their pledge for an additional $10.
