Scorpion Masque unveiled their first ever Kickstarter project, Dead Cells: The Rogue-Lite Board Game.
This board game by Antoine Bauza, Corentin Lebrat, Ludovic Maublanc, and Theo Riviere (aka Kaedama) is based on the popular 2018 video game created by Motion Twin and Evil Empire studios. The board game will be a cooperative dungeon-crawler that is Metroidvania-inspired (a sub-genre of action-adventure games with non-linear, utility-gated exploration like the Nintendo Castlevania games). The players will be tasked with exploring the evolving island of Dead Cells and will battle through enemies contaminated with Malaise.
Dead Cells: The Rogue-Lite Board Game supports one to four players and plays in about 45 minutes. The Kickstarter will be launching in Spring 2023.
