Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available for Nintendo Switch. Read on below to learn more about one of the latest in-game events:
Hop on over to a black crystal to challenge and catch a Cinderace with the Mightiest Mark and Fighting as its Tera Type.
Cinderace with the Mightiest Mark is appearing in black crystal Tera Raid Battles to commemorate 2023—the Year of the Rabbit. You can try scoring a win against Cinderace until January 1, 2023, at 3:59 p.m. PST and again during a rerun event from January 12, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. PST to January 15, 2023, at 3:59 p.m. PST. Cinderace cannot normally be encountered in Paldea, and the Cinderace appearing during this event has Fighting as its Tera Type, making it a formidable foe—it even has the Mightiest Mark to prove it!
For the opportunity to encounter this Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles, you’ll need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. You can do this by connecting your Nintendo Switch system to the internet or by selecting Poké Portal in the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Get Poké Portal News. After that, whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon.
To challenge Cinderace, Trainers will need to either complete the postgame events that follow the main story or join a 7-star Tera Raid Battle hosted by a Trainer who has completed those events.
Work together with your friends to trip up this powerful Tera Pokémon! This special Cinderace can be caught only once per save data. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Cinderace to obtain other rewards if you’ve already caught it—these rewards include significant amounts of Exp. Candy for leveling up your Pokémon and Tera Shards for changing your Pokémon’s Tera Type.
