My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission Smashes Its Way To The United States Theaters This Fall

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission will arrive in more than 1,500 theaters in North America on October 29. The film will also debut in the United Kingdom on October 29 and will be in theaters in Australia and New Zealand on October 28.

Anime fans will have the option to watch the movie in both English subtitles and dub. Tickets will be on sale October 1.

My Hero Academia takes place in a world where most of the population have super powers called quirks. My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission follows Izuku Midoriya, Bakugo Katsuki, and Shoto Todoroki while they are on their hero internship with Shoto’s father and the number one Pro Hero, Endeavor. Midoriya and his new friend Rody find themselves framed for a crime they didn’t commit and are tasked with clearing their name while also having two hours to save the world from the villain Humarise–who plans on eliminating the world of quirks.

The movie takes place in the wake of the anime’s fifth season which is streaming on Funimation and airing on Toonami.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission will be the third film in the series, the first being My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (2018) and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (2020).

“We’re proud to team up with Toho and the production committee to deliver another outstanding adventure for Deku, Bakugo and the characters from the My Hero Academia universe that fans have come to love,” Colin Decker, CEO for the Funimation Global Group, said.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission will be directed by Kenji Nagasaki, the director of the previous films. The film is not yet rated and has an approximate runtime of 104 minutes.
