Hachette Boardgames will release Tribes of the Wind, a new dystopian fantasy board game by La Boite de Jeu, into retail in May 2023.
In this game, mankind caused a new type of pollution that is destroying all forms of life on the planet. Groups of survivors have taken to hiding in cities built in the tree canopies cities of small forests, flying from canopy to canopy to avoid the pollution. Players take on the roles of Guides who use elemental magic to fight the pollution.
As Guides, they will have to plant forests, build new villages and temples, and decontaminate the surrounding areas. Gameplay driven by the cards played as players attempt to complete their objectives to unlock powers and make their tribes’ powers stronger.
This game is for two to five players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 40 minutes. It will retail for $56.99.
Hachette Boardgames also recently announced Zero to 100, a new trivia game by Scorpion Masque (see “New Trivia Game by Scorpion Masque“).
