Bullet Train was in first place again at the weekend box office with a weekend that can only be described as weak. The film dropped 55.4% grossing an estimated $13.4 million. The film has grossed $54.5 million after two weeks. Internationally, the film grossed about $27.6 million over the week to bring that to $60 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed about $114.5 million.

DC League of Super-Pets came in second again earning $7.2 million in its third week. Domestically, the film has grossed $58.3 million. Internationally, the film grossed $12.9 million over the week to bring that to $51.4 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $109.7 million.

Top Gun: Maverick continues to impress moving into third place with an estimated $7.2 million an increase from the previous week. The film has now grossed $673.8 million. The film has also grossed $704.2 million at the international box office for a worldwide total of $1.378 billion. The film is now #7 in all-time domestic gross and just $5 million behind Avengers: Infinity War. It’s will pass that at some point this week. Worldwide, the film ranks #13 and needs about $24 million to pass Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Thor: Love and Thunder repeat at #4 with an estimated $5.3 million. The film has now grossed $325.4 million. Internationally, the film grossed about $12.3 million over the week to bring that to $395.1 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $720.5 million.

Nope came in fifth place with an estimated $5.3 million. The film has crossed the line and now grossed $107.5 million domestically. There is now international numbers, where the film has grossed $6.4 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $113.9 million.

In comic film news…

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness looks like it has held steady domestically at $411.3 million. Internationally, the film also held steady at $543.5 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed a little under $954.9 million indicating slight gains over the week.

The week’s overall box office success…

Initial numbers has 30 films earning $65,211,467 from 39,142 theaters. That’s about a third less than last weekend’s $91,990,163 from 36,265 theaters and 46 films. It’s a decent weekend but continues the weeks short of $100 million. We’ll need to wait for final numbers to see. The average earning was $1,666.02 this past weekend, again, a decrease from last weekend’s $2,536.61.
