“Getting bored at work” isn’t a modern invention. Medieval scribes were well known for their doodles in the margins of books they were copying. These little doodles are now the basis for The Medieval Margin-agerie, a new RPG supplement of monsters and artifacts that’s up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
Medieval scribes liked to fill the margins of their illuminated manuscripts with pictures of strange creatures doing strange things. So in honour of their commitment to filling pages with weirdness, we’ve decided to bring that energy to zine month with The Medieval Margin-agerie. Find 24 pages of authentic OSR weirdness inside!
These creatures and artefacts are designed to be used with most OSR games and can be easily tweaked to suit other fantasy or horror roleplaying games.
The campaign’s around 2/3 of the way to its goal with 20 days left to go.
