The Game Manufacturers Association reported the attendance numbers for Origins 2022, which were approximately 57% of the last pre-pandemic show in 2019.
Origins 2022 drew 11,689 people over the June 8-12, 2022 weekend. This was up from the 10,746 total attendees from last year’s show (about 9%), which was moved to the fall due to COVID safety concerns (see “Origins Game Fair Back Till Fall“). However, this year’s attendance was still about 57% down from the 2019 show, which drew 20,642 people (see “Origins Attendance Up 11%“).
GAMA also released other data that included exhibitor, volunteer, and event numbers. The 2022 show featured 267 Origins exhibitors, 40 GDEX exhibitors, and almost 100 volunteers. They also offered 5,000 events, tournaments, and seminars.
