Niantic has announced a new event for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:
Tyrunt, Amaura, Shiny Tirtouga, and Shiny Archen make their Pokémon GO debut in this ultra adventure.
Pokémon GO Fest 2022 is over, but the excitement and adventures continue in Pokémon GO with the Ultra Unlock: Adventure Week event running through June 12, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Participate in Timed Research, Field Research, and an Ultra Unlock: Research Day event to earn exciting Pokémon encounters, Incubators, and more. Tyrunt, Amaura, Shiny Tirtouga, and Shiny Archen will make their Pokémon GO debuts by hatching from Eggs—putting those extra Incubators to good use—and by appearing in encounters for completing Field Research.
As if Ultra Unlock: Adventure Week couldn’t rock any harder, Trainers will earn double XP for spinning PokéStops, quintuple XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time, and Eggs placed in an Incubator during the event will require half the usual Hatch Distance.
Lace up those hiking shoes, because during the event Timed Research tasks will require Trainers to walk a certain number of kilometers. Trainers who complete these tasks can earn three Incubators, which will come in handy while Eggs are hatching at half their usual distance. You might even hatch some rare Pokémon!
Ultra Unlock: Research Day takes place June 12, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time. Trainers can spin PokéStops to receive Limited Research tasks that will earn them encounters with Cranidos and Shieldon. During that time, Trainers will also have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Cranidos and Shiny Shieldon.
Throughout the day, Tyrunt and Amaura will appear more frequently in the wild. Trainers hoping to find Amaura should be on the lookout between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. local time. On a royal hunt for Tyrunt? Keep an eye out between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. and between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. local time. When Amaura’s available, there might even be some unusual weather occurrences, so keep those eyes on the skies.
Trainers can also dig up a rock-solid collection of Pokémon—and perhaps even encounter a Shiny one—with the following Rock- and Ground-type Pokémon, appearing in the wild during Ultra Unlock: Research Day.
Throughout the entirety of Pokémon GO Ultra Unlock: Adventure Week, Trainers can more frequently catch, hatch, and battle Rock-type Pokémon, Fossil Pokémon, and more.
