Fantasy Flight Games unveiled Twilight Inscription, a roll-and-write game for the Twilight Imperium line, which will release into retail on September 16, 2022.
Twilight Inscription takes roll-and-write to an epic level, much in the same way Twilight Imperium had for board game (see “‘Twilight Imperium’“), and also FFG’s first roll-and-write game. Players assume command of one of 24 factions, and utilize their unique abilities to build at strategy that will make them rulers of the galaxy. They will need to manage a limited pool of resources to gain victory points through investments made on Navigation, Expansion, Industry, and Warfare player sheets. The eight different versions of player sheets are reusable, and are meant to be written on with dry erase markers. Players’ setups may be vastly different, but all player sheets will garner victory points and the player with the most victory points at the end of the game wins.
This game is for one to eight players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 2 hours. It will retail for $64.99.
