As the sun begins to set on the Season of Alola, Pokémon GO
is offering a final farewell tour with the Alola to Alola event. Through Tuesday,
May 31, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local
time, Trainers can celebrate the sunny Alola region with a Catch Challenge,
event-themed Pokémon, a unique Special Research story, and more. Take on a
tropical Collection Challenge to make progress on your Elite Collector medal, and
earn 15,000 XP, 15 Ultra Balls, and an encounter with the im-paw-sibly adorable
Rockruff. Over the course of the event, all four of Alola’s Legendary guardian
deities—Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini—will appear in five-star
raids.
Celebrate the friends you’ve made along the way with double the Stardust
for opening Gifts from friends. Club opponents with an Alolan Marowak that
knows the Charged Attack Shadow Bone by evolving Cubone during the event. And
play in style with new avatar items including a Rowlet backpack, Litten
backpack, and Popplio backpack available for purchase in the in-game shop.
The Alola to Alola Special Research story offers the chance
to embark on an adventure of your choice inspired by the islands of radiant
Alola. Trainers have until Wednesday, June 1, 2022, to complete all four parts of
the event-exclusive Special Research story—inspired by Melemele Island, Akala
Island, Ula’ula Island, and Poni Island—to unlock a bonus Special Research
story. Tickets to this bonus Special Research story cost $4.99, but Trainers who
obtain this Special Research story by finishing all four paths will still be
able to purchase this ticket in the shop for additional rewards.
Choose this path if you’re interested in tasks focused on sending Gifts
to friends and taking snapshots. Rewards will include two Poffins, a Lure
Module, four Lucky Eggs, an encounter with Alolan Raichu, a Pom-Pom Style Oricorio
hat avatar item, and more.
The Akala Island tasks require Trainers to explore a certain
number of kilometers and spin a certain number of PokéStops to earn an Incense,
two Incubators, a Super Incubator, an encounter with Alolan Marowak, and a Pa’u
Style Oricorio Hat avatar item.
Take on research tasks like catching a certain number of Pokémon or
performing certain types of throws while catching Pokémon to earn a Glacial
Lure, a Magnetic Lure, four Incense, an encounter with Alolan Vulpix, and a
Baile Style Oricorio Hat avatar item.
Choose Poni Island for tasks focused on winning Trainer Battles in
the GO Battle League and defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders to earn a Rocket
Radar, three Star Pieces, a Premium Battle Pass, an encounter with Alolan
Exeggutor, and a Sensu Style Oricorio Hat avatar item.
