I want to note that this is the “Yarr arr yarr! I loddie the hotpants!” form of Black Flags and not the “TV Party Tonight!” Black Flags we’re talking about. This is all about getting your own ship out there and sailing the high seas. Black Flags: Stories from the Eye of the Sea by Trifecta Game Studios is up on Kickstarter now.

Ahoy there Captain. Inside this game, a whole world awaits you. A world filled with tough decisions that will determine the course of the rest of your life. Will you choose a life of piracy? Or, will you get by as a humble trader? Maybe you will decide to become a risk taking smuggler, buying and selling contraband under the cover of the dark night. What ever you decide, the royal guard are waiting to collect their due taxes, and the kraken are lurking in the depths to pull your dreams to the bottom of the ocean. So watch your decks and sail on, matey!
Black Flags: Stories From The Eye Of The Sea is a competitive table-top game for two to four players, which uses narrative choice event cards, a unique rondel system for movement, pick up & delivery, and dice rolling, to transport players to a fantasy world of piracy, commerce, and nautical adventure.
Players take turns in clockwise fashion until a player takes the last gold coin from the bank. When this occurs, the game immediately ends. Players then use a scoring chart to score their successes. The player with the highest score wins!
The campaign is up and running now with 20 days left to go.
