Pokémon GO Valentines Greeting: Razz Berries are pink, PokéStops are blue, I would go out of my way, to find a Shiny Pokémon for you

Niantic has announced new events for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

Pokémon GO Valentine’s Day 2022 Event: Flabébé appearing, Valentine’s Day–themed Collection Challenges, and more!

Valentine’s Day Event

Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, February 14, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time

Pokémon Debuts

Flabébé, Floette, and Florges make their debuts in Pokémon GO!

These Pokémon come in five different colors: red, yellow, orange, blue, and white.

Flabébé can evolve into Floette with 25 Flabébé Candy. Floette can evolve into Florges with 100 Flabébé Candy after you earn 20 hearts with it as your buddy.

A Global Valentine’s Challenge!

Available from Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. PST (GMT -8), to Tuesday, February 15, at 12:00 a.m. PST (GMT -8)

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, a global challenge will be ongoing throughout the event! Work with other Trainers around the world by sending Gifts to your friends. Once Trainers send enough Gifts, they’ll unlock a bonus for all Trainers for the remainder of the event!

Global Challenge Bonus: 3× Transfer Candy

Global Challenge Goal: Send 70,000,000 Gifts

A New Form Change Available

For the duration of the Valentine’s Day event, you’ll be able to change your Natural Form Furfrou to Heart Trim Furfrou!

Heart Trim Furfrou

Follow these steps to change Furfrou’s Trim.

  • Furfrou begins in its Natural Form.
  • Select Furfrou in your Pokémon storage, and then tap the Change Form button to bring up a menu that lists the available Trims.
  • Select your preferred Trim.
  • Changing your Furfrou from one Trim to any other Trim will cost 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust.

Collection Challenges

The event will feature two Valentine’s Day–themed Collection Challenges!

Complete the Collection Challenges to encounter a female Frillish and a male Frillish !

Special Attacks

During the event period, the following attacks will be available.

Evolve Kirlia during the event to get a Gallade or Gardevoir that knows the Charged Attack Synchronoise. Gallade and Gardevoir encountered after raids will also know Synchronoise.

Gallade will be able to learn the Charged Attack Synchronoise.
Gardevoir will be able to learn the Charged Attack Synchronoise.

Wild Encounter IconWild Encounters

The following Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild.

Flabébé with differently colored flowers will be appearing in the wild depending on where you are in the world:

  • Red Flower Flabébé: Appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
  • Blue Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Yellow Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Americas

If you’re lucky, you might encounter White Flower Flabébé and Orange Flower Flabébé, no matter what region you’re in.
