These days, with restrictions everywhere, you can’t exactly go and visit as many distant planets as you’d like (yeah… lockdowns, that’s the reason we can’t go to other planets… sure…) But you can still visit vicariously through Catalyst Game Labs’ Touring the Stars line of books.
