Wizards of the Coast released more details on the upcoming Magic Game Day events, scheduled for March 5-6.
WotC announced the return of Game Day and the promos that would be handed out in December (see “‘Magic: The Gathering’“). The Game Day events can be run as Standard, Sealed, or Draft format events. These events are timed, Swiss round tournaments with a cut to a top eight, and are designed for competitive REL. Every player registered for this event will receive a Consider promo, and Fateful Absence is the promo intended for players who make the top eight cut. Atsushi, the Blazing Sky is the promo given to the winner of the event.
Additionally, WotC announced that each Standard set in 2022 will be supported by a Game Day event following their respective release dates. The Standard sets for 2022 can be found on ICv2’s Magic: The Gathering release calendar (see “‘Magic: The Gathering’ Release Calendar for 2022/2023“).
