Tickets for the December Community Day 2021 Special Research story go live later this week for December Pokémon GO Community Day

Niantic has announced a new event for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

December Community Day features some familiar faces from 2020 and 2021!

As we say goodbye to 2021, let’s take a look back at the Community Day events we shared together.

This year’s final Community Day event will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, and Sunday, December 19, 2021. Throughout the event, Pokémon featured in Community Day events throughout 2021 will be appearing more frequently in the wild, while Pokémon featured in Community Day events throughout 2020 will be hatching from Eggs and appearing in raids, so this event will be a great time for you to catch Pokémon featured in any Community Day events you may have missed!

December Community Day

Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time

Event Bonuses

From Friday, December 17, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. local time to Sunday December 19, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. local time

To celebrate the last Community Day event of the year, two additional bonuses will be available all weekend.

Pokémon Storage and Item Bag Cap Increase

To help you prepare for the biggest Community Day event of the year, the maximum amount that the Pokémon storage and Item Bag can be expanded to will be increased! Be sure to purchase Item Bag and Pokémon Storage expansions from the shop so you can stock up on Poké Balls and store all the Pokémon you’ll catch during December Community Day!

  • Pokémon Storage Expansion Cap: 5,000 -> 5,500
  • Item Bag Expansion Cap: 4,000 -> 4,500

This change will go into effect on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT -8).

The following Pokémon featured during Community Day events in 2021 will be appearing more frequently in the wild.

All Pokémon below will also be attracted to incense and lures regardless of what day it is.

The following exclusive moves will be available when evolving to the following Pokémon from Friday, December 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, December 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. PST (GMT −8).

  • There’ll be a special one-time-purchase Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokéCoins, featuring 50 Ultra Balls, six Star Pieces, an Elite Fast TM, and an Elite Charged TM.
  • 30 Ultra Balls will be available in the shop at no cost. Be sure to pick them up during this time!
