Asmodee will release The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Trick-Taking Game, a new card game, into retail on January 15, 2027.
This game completes the Office Dog trilogy of LotR trick-taking games, started back in 2024 (see “‘LotR’ Game“). In this game, players will attempt to overcome new challenges inspired by the events of The Return of the King. Players will lead Frobo to the edge of Mount Doom all while Aragorn prepares for the final battle against the forces of Sauron. The game features new characters (Denathor, Dernhelm, Sharkey, and Beregond) and has multiple modes of play, including a solo mode.
This game is for one to four players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 20 minutes. It will retail for $26.99.
