Cooperative Strategy Game Based On Pixel Remaster Editions of ‘Final Fantasy I, II, and III’
KessCo will send Origins of Light: A Final Fantasy Board Game, a cooperative strategy game, to Kickstarter for crowdfunding soon.
This game will be produced as part of KessCo’s licensing agreement with Square Enix (see “KessCo Licenses“), and was previewed at MagicCon: Las Vegas as Final Fantasy Saga: The Board Game (see “MagicCon: Las Vegas 2026 in Photos, Part 1“). In Origins of Light: A Final Fantasy Board Game, players will form a party, load them up with spells and equipment, and head into dungeons to kill monsters. The dungeons contain powerful bosses, which the Heroes will need to best before time runs out.
The core game revolves around a Final Fantasy I module. Players then can scale their characters up to taking on the Final Fantasy II module and the Final Fantasy III for greater challenge. This game is for two to four players, ages 12 and up.
