The Harvest Festival: Applin Picking event is now live in Pokémon GO, bringing the debut of Shiny Applin and a range of apple-themed bonuses and activities through Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. local time. During the event, Trainers can encounter Applin, Skwovet, Lechonk and Smoliv in the wild, with increased chances of finding Shiny Smoliv, while Mossy Lure Modules will attract apples that can provide Tart Apples, Sweet Apples, Syrupy Apples or encounters with event Pokémon including flower crown Cottonee and Applin. A branching Timed Research quest lets players choose which type of apple they want to receive, while event Field Research offers additional themed Pokémon encounters. The free Harvest Festival GO Pass is also available, with progression unlocking bonuses including increased chances for Applin to hold evolution items, longer-lasting Mossy Lure Modules and additional Stardust from Team GO Rocket battles; GO Pass Deluxe is available for US$4.99, while a Deluxe + 6 Ranks option costs US$6.99 and provides additional rewards and progression. The event runs from Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m. through Monday, Oct. 5, at 8 p.m. local time, while unlocked GO Pass rewards must be claimed by Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. local time.
