Taschen will release two new small-format, bargain-priced Marvel Comics omnibi in its Bibliotheca Universalis series in November. The series offers 5.5″ x 7.7″ hardcover comic collections of around 700 pages at a $25 MSRP. In collaboration with Marvel and CGC, the original comics were scanned as printed, then digitally remastered using modern techniques.
The volumes being released in November are:
Marvel Comics Library: Hulk 1962-1966 (Bibliotheca Universalis) collects the character’s appearances in Tales to Astonish plus the first six issues of The Incredible Hulk. The stories are written by Stan Lee with art by Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, and John Romita Sr. The volume also includes an introduction by Douglas Wolk and original art, photos, and paraphernalia.
Marvel Comics Library: Silver Surfer 1968-1970 (Bibliotheca Universalis) includes the entire 18-issue run of the 1960s Silver Surfer series by Stan Lee and John Buscema, along with text by Douglas Wolk and original artwork photographs, and rare memorabilia.
Taschen released the first four Marvel volumes in this Bibliotheca Universalis series, Marvel Comics Library: Spider-Man 1962-1964, Marvel Comics Library: Fantastic Four 1961-1963, Marvel Comics Library: X-Men 1963-1966 and Marvel Comics Library: Avengers 1963-1965, earlier this year.
Street date is November 27, 2026.
Taschen released this material first in Extra Large (11″ x 15.5″) editions at $200 MSRP.
