Mad Cave Studios will collect both of the Defenders of the Earth series written by Dan Didio into a single volume, Defenders of the Earth Complete Collection. This brings together the complete modern reimagining of the property, which features King Features characters Flash Gordon, The Phantom, Mandrake the Magician, and Lothar.
The story, which brings together the original characters of the animated series and the new generation following them, was originally published in two Mad Cave miniseries: Defenders of Earth and Defenders of Earth Dark Destiny (see “‘Defenders of the Earth’ by Didio“).
Art for the story is by Jim Calafiore, Alex Sanchez, and others, with colors by Juancho!. Street date for the 320-page, $29.99 trade paperback is November 17.
