An August 11 traffic accident involving a truck carrying IDW comic titles to a Penguin Random House Publisher Services distribution center delayed the release of the titles by one week, according to information supplied by the publisher. The truck, en route to a Maryland warehouse operated by PRH, ended up off the highway in a forest, with the book scattered. There were no injuries, but the printer informed IDW that the comics in the shipment were not salvageable.
IDW delayed releasing the news of the accident until it knew the new delivery date: the comics involved, which were slated to be released on September 2, will instead have a September 9 release date thanks to a priority reprint by the printer. The four titles that were delayed by the accident were Event Horizon Inferno 5, Sonic x Godzilla #2, Star Trek 60th Anniversary, and TMNT Journeys #13.
