GAMA: The Tabletop Game Association offered up more information on Game Store Day 2026.
The first announcement made was that, on August 31, 2026, members Dee Connell, Kylie Prymus, Jay Mason-Grant and GAMA’s Team Retail will be hosting a meeting on Zoom on at 3:00 PM ET. The meeting will address the specifics of Game Store Day 2026 (see “Celebrate LGS with Game Store Day 2026“) and allow participants to ask questions.
GAMA also announced that they would like to distribute 500 Publisher’s Boxes for the event. They are looking for publishers to send in games to include in the box as promos; GAMA will need 500 copies of each game submitted for the boxes, retail stores can receive a maximum of two boxes each. A fulfillment partner will be announced at a later date. The deadline for publishers to participate is September 18, 2026.
The organization also showcased items included in the Retail Took Kit. Physical items included in the kit are as follows: posters, window clings, assorted stickers, postcards, an 11″x17″ sign, gift certificates, discount cards, press release, and promotional flyers. More promotional items will be available online to download and customize.
