Allplay is expanding its catalog with the launch of three new lines, called Masterworks, Epics, and Creations, starting with an updated version of the 2010 title Dominant Species.

Allplay is enlisting Ian O’Toole (Voidfall, Galactic Cruise) to curate the new Masterworks line, which will focus on heavier Euro-style strategy games.  The first title in this line will be Dominant Species, originally from GMT Games, designed by Chad Jensen (Combat Commander).  Set at the dawn of the Ice Age, Dominant Species challenges players to guide the evolution of a major animal group as it tries to adapt to the changing conditions.  Allplay’s update will feature all new artwork and graphics and the addition of a solo mode and an improved two-player version. Dominant Species will release in 2027.

The Epics line will feature legacy style games and games with broad, evolving worlds and expansive campaigns.  This line will begin with Sail Legacy, a two-player trick-taking style legacy game featuring more than thirty-five adventures exploring a branching storyline.  It will be followed by Crash Landed, a science fiction adventure game coming in 2027.

Rounding out the expansion is the Creations line, intended for games designed for experienced game fans, starting with John D. Clair’s Have a Magical Day, a game about planning the perfect them park vacation.

This summer, Allplay is releasing a travel version of Trailblazers and the football (soccer) game Golden Goal (see “Allplay Announces Summer Releases”).
