Fallout: Wasteland Warfare’s New Edition is Available for Pre-Order – Graphic Policy

Modiphius Entertainment has announced the pre-order is open for new Fallout: Wasteland Warfare starter sets, officially launching its new edition, a refined version of the much loved adventure wargame.

Originally released eight years ago, Fallout: Wasteland Warfare sees players exploring a generated wasteland, supported by a vast range of miniatures for an expansive and innovative wargame.

Building from the original sandbox philosophy, the new, second edition starter sets available for pre-order incorporate years of insights from the community. Modiphius Entertainment have refined the game that existing players know and love, to create a streamlined solo and cooperative adventure wargame that is accessible to new players, and which succeeds in offering an engaging narrative experience.

In Fallout: Wasteland Warfare’s second edition players emerge from a home settlement to procedurally explore a randomized wasteland around them, creating a campaign map of locations and enemies as they move around the map.

Combat encounters see their warband taking on mutants, wasteland wildlife, and other human factions as they fight for survival and supremacy in the post-atomic wastes quintessential to the Fallout franchise.

Players can play as one of four core factions on launch: Survivors, Super Mutants, the Brotherhood of Steel, and Wasteland Raiders, with more factions like the New California Republic and Caesar’s Legion being published later.

Modiphius’ extensive 32mm scale miniatures range will continue to be compatible with the new edition of the game, with core sets in multipart plastic kits, and its award-winning resin miniatures supplementing tabletop wastelands around the world.

Available to pre-order are two starter sets, Into the Wasteland, and Warbands.

Into the Wasteland

Into the Wasteland is a solo starter set that provides pre-existing players with everything they need to to play as the sole survivor of a vault. Players can assemble a warband, and then venture into the wasteland to uncover enemies and locations, and build the narrative of their experience as they play.

Into The Wasteland contains:

• The complete core rules for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare.
• Profiles for the main 4 factions: Survivors, Brotherhood of Steel, Super Mutants, and raiders, and all their equipment.
• Custom dice, gameplay tokens, enemy tokens
• 7 Sheets of Cardboard terrain
• Expanded rules for solo campaigns exploring the wasteland.
• Rules for creating unique protagonists.
• Thematic regions.
• Profiles for wasteland creatures.
• Rules for creating custom boss quests.
• Rules for co-operative play by connecting players’ games with friends’.
• 4x Multi Part Plastic Hero Vault Dwellers.

Warbands

For new players, or those wanting to expand their warband or play cooperatively or against another player, Warbands provides players with two PVC warbands of Survivors and Super Mutants to be assembled, offering everything needed for a solo or 2 player experience, making up 22 models in total.

Warbands contains:

• The complete core rules for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, Warbands Quickstart, rosters, reference sheets, journals and maps.
• Profiles for the main four factions: Survivors, Brotherhood of Steel, Super Mutants, and Raiders, and all their equipment.
• Custom dice, gameplay tokens, enemy tokens.
• 7 sheets of Cardboard terrain.
• Two pre-assembled PVC warbands of Survivors and Super Mutants, which include Sole Survivor in T-45 power armor, Mr Handy, Super Mutant “The Ravager” and Super Mutant hound in armor “The Mutt”.
