Magnetic Press Announces Fall Releases

Magnetic Press and Oni Press announced eight titles for fall 2026, including seven global graphic novels and solo rules for the Official Planet of the Apes Role-Playing Game.

That RPG guide kicks off the season.  Planet of the Apes Solo Rules is written by Andrew E.C. Gaska, E.L. Thomas, and John Wick with art by Chris Scalf, Chandra Free, and Runa I. Rosenberger, who also illustrated the cover.  It includes guides and design tools for modifying existing multi-character scenarios along with three complete adventures.  It will be available September 1, 2026, at $34.99 for 112 pages and requires the Role-Playing Game of the Planet of the Apes Core Rulebook.

September also brings Peaceful Remission by Jonathan Djob Nkondo, a science fiction exploration of the tensions between an elderly couple living on a satellite where space reflects the emotional distance in their long-running relationship.  The 260-page hardcover is $29.99 and out September 16, 2026.

Silent Jenny by Mathieu Bablet is due October 13, 2026, at $34.99 for a 312-page hardcover.  In a planet ravaged by climate change, insects have disappeared, and people live on “mobile islands” in a more tribal culture.

Another book by Jonathan Djob Nkondo, Wandering explores a world turned into vast deserts with urban development underground in a wordless graphic novel about alienation.  It’s 200 pages, hardcover, for $29.99 and out on October 20, 2026.

On Mars, written by Sylvain Runberg with art and cover by Grun, tells of colonizing Mars with prison labor through the story of an officer sentenced to the planet.  The 244-page softcover is $29.99 and released November 4, 2026.

The Monkey King Omnibus by Chaiko retells the legendary Chinese fable in a 320-page hardcover. Out November 10, 2026, it retails for $39.99.

Joël Dos Reis Viegas’ Urbance is also out November 10, at $19.99 for a 192-page hardcover.  It shows us a far-future society where a virus means sexual relations between genders will kill.  Then a drug changes everything in this first volume of a four-book series originally designed as a crowdfunded animation pilot.

Finally, Liberty, written by Jordan Mechner with art and cover by Etienne Le Roux and Loïc Chevallier, dramatizes the history of the French espionage effort that aided the American Revolution.  The 214-page hardcover will be out December 8, 2026, at $29.99.
