Dark Horse Will Publish Comics Based on Digital Series Created by Jonathan Hickman, Mike del Mundo, Mike Huddleston, and Nick Spencer
Dark Horse Comics will release The Foundations, a new one shot set in the Three Worlds/Three Moons universe, into retail on July 8, 2026.
3W3M is a sci-fi universe created by Jonathan Hickman (see “Hickman Leads to New X-Men Universe”), Mike del Mundo, Mike Huddleston, and Nick Spencer that was originally published online. Dark Horse is bringing these stories to comic shops, starting in July with The Foundations as the first title set in this universe to be released as a comic book. Later on, Dark Horse will also release more projects involving 3W3M, features the following talent: Christian Ward, James Stokoe, Juni Ba, Ram V, Al Ewing, Steve Epting, Stephen Green, Tini Howard, Phil Hester, and more.
The one shot will tell the story of an astronaut explorer Tajo Vallar, who is sent on doomed expedition to a dormant moon. There, Vallar will unlock the mysteries of the moon and a new conflict will be initiated. This one shot will be 32 pages, presented in a prestige magazine-sized format, and retail for $6.99.
