Invincible creator and Skybound co-founder Robert Kirkman is returning to the superhero genre with Terminal, a new series that he will be co-writing with Joe Casey; the artists for the project are Andy Kubert, David Finch, and Arthur Adams, and the colorist will be Dave McCaig. The first issue will be released by Image on July 22, 2026, with two covers by Kubert, one by Finch, and one by Adams, all colored by McCaig. Image will have a blind bag program for the issue that will include almost all the orderable covers for the issue, with varying degrees of rarity, as well as three blind-bag exclusive covers.

The series is set in a world where two violent, superpowered factions are waging a war that has blurred the boundaries between good and evil and features a woman searching for her missing sister and facing the challenges that come with that.

Multiple collected editions of Kirkman’s earlier superhero series, Invincible, were among the best-selling graphic novels of the year through ComicHub (see “Top 20 Graphic Novels – Full Year 2025”).
