Kevin Smith will return to DC to write Bizarro: Year None, a miniseries set in the Bizarro world. Smith last worked for DC with the lead story for Detective #1000 in 2019 (see “’Detective Comics #1000’”), and on a crossover with Dynamite Entertainment’s Green Hornet in Batman ’66 Meets Green Hornet in 2015 (see “Batman Graphic Novels”).
The four-issue Bizarro: Year None series will feature art and main cover by Nick Pitarra, with variant covers for the first issue by Frank Quitely, Fernando Pasari, and Ibrahim Moustafa, plus foil variant by Pasari.
Jimmy Olsen and Perry White take a trip in outer space that leads them to a strange dimension where they confront the being behind it all. Adopting the opposite-world conceit, DC describes the story as the “definitive, indefinitive” origin story for the Bizarro character.
Bizarro: Year None #1, a 32-page comic, will street on April 1 at $4.99, with variants at $5.99 for card stock and $7.99 for foil.
