Steve Jackson Games added retailer tier for Toon: The Cartoon Roleplay Game 2E on BackerKit.
Toon: The Cartoon Roleplay Game returns after decades of dormancy. The original edition, designed by Greg Costikyan and developed by Warren Spector, was first published in 1984. In this game, GMs become Animators while the players take on the roles of the cartoon characters themselves. As with most cartoon characters, the player characters can never die; they just fall down and reappear in the next scene. The new edition, which was developed by Steve Jackson and Jay Dragon, features a streamlined character creation process as well as new rules that help Animators generate adventures faster.
The retailer tier on the BackerKit allows retailers to order three softcover versions of the core book and three hardcover versions of the book for $145 (retailer pricing is 50% MSRP). Delivery on these books is slated for late 2026.
Steve Jackson Games will also release Grudges and Gore, a new expansion for Munchkin: Warhammer 40,000, into retail (see ” ‘Munchkin: Warhammer 40,000’ Expansion Incoming“).
