Games Workshop announced two Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Spearhead boxed sets and a Chaos Battletome, which will be up for preorder on January 4, 2026.
The MaggotKin of Nurgle return to the battlefield with a pair of Spearhead boxed sets. The first Bubonic Cell set combines Nurgle’s mortal and demon followers into an effective fighting force. This unit is led by a Rotbringer Sorcerer who has a unit of Rotmire Creed, six Nurgling bases, and a Beast of Nurgle in tow.
The second Helforge Host set features the Helsmiths of Hashut. This set was originally available as the Helsmiths of Hashut Army Set (see ” ‘Helsmiths of Hashut’“) but has been retooled and repackaged as a Spearhead set. It comes with a War Despot, 11 Infernal Cohort, a Dominator Engine, and a Tormentor Bombard as well as a Helsmiths of Hashut transfer sheet containing 450 decals.
GW will also release the Battletome: Maggotkin of Nurgle into the wild. This 106-page book covers everything and anything regarding the legions of the Plague God. It contains lore, miniatures, and rules for two Regiments of Renown and two Armies of Renown. It also comes in a smaller Gamer’s Edition that has 52 reference cards.
