Ludonova will release Adamastor, a solo sailing game in the Age of Discovery, via Asmodee. The player has the role of the captain of a fleet sent by the king to explore uncharted lands. Victory is achieved by reaching a destination, but in order to do so, the captain must navigate fierce winds, sudden storms, and morale problems among the crew. Adamastor can be played either as single-session voyages or in campaign mode, in which choices carry forward.
Adamastor, designed by Orlando Sà with art by Jorge Tabanera, is a hand and tableau management game, in which each multi-use card is a resource to counter the difficulties encountered on the voyage.
The box includes 15 Regular Map Cards, 3 Final Destination Map Cards, 40 Sailing Cards, 45 Encounter Cards, 1 Game Turn Card, 1 Navigation Costs Card, 1 Weather Card, 1 Events Card, 1 Experience Card, 12 Campaign Cards (A-H), 4 Cards to save the campaign, 1 Ship, 30 Multipurpose Tokens, and Campaign Upgrades Sheet.
Adamastor is for one player age 14 and up, and plays in 30 minutes. It will be released on January 23 at $24.99 MSRP.
