Prime Video Releases Festive 'Fallout' Special; 'GoT,' 'Lanterns' Series Snippets Unveiled; 'Supergirl,' 'The Boys' S5, 'Last Airbender' S2 Trailer; 'Street Fighter' Teaser; 'Torso' Optioned

The 12 days of Christmas have begun, and Hollywood still has showbiz news rolling out. Time for a round-up!

Prime Video released a bizarre The Ghoul Log holiday special promoting the upcoming Fallout Season 2 (see “‘Fallout’ S2 Trailer“).  The holiday special consists of The Ghoul (Walter Goggins) and Dogmeat roasting a fat man’s dismembered arm in an open fire while classic radio Christmas tunes play in the background for 90 minutes.  This special pays tribute to the classic radio broadcasts played as flavor music in the Fallout video games and could provide macabre background ambiance for holiday parties at game and comic stores.  The special was released for free on YouTube (see below).

HBO Max unveiled a Coming in 2026 trailer (see below).  The trailer features clips of both A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (see “‘Game of Thrones’ Series News“) and House of Dragon Season 3 It also contains the first actual footage of the Lanterns series (see “‘Lanterns’“).

Warner Bros. released a teaser trailer for Supergirl (see below).  This movie, starring Milly Alcock as Supergirl and Jason Momoa as Lobo, will hit theaters on June 26, 2026 (see “Best in Shows — 2026“).

Prime Video released a teaser trailer for The Boys Season 5 (see below).  The final season of The Boys caps off the series with a final battle that sees the return of The Butcher as he tries to unleash the supe-killing virus on the world to stop Homelander.  The final season kicks off on April 8, 2025 (see “‘The Boys’ to End“).

Paramont Pictures and Legendary Entertainment released a teaser for Street Fighter (see below).  This movie, starring Jason Momoa as Blanka, Roman Reigns as Akuma, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog (see “‘Street Fighter’“), will hit theaters on October 16, 2026.

Netflix has released a trailer for the second season of the live action Avatar: The Last Airbender series.  A specific release date has not been revealed; a general 2026 premiere date was announced. The first season as released in 2024 (see “’Avatar’ Video“).

Netflix optioned the movie rights to Torso, according The Hollywood Reporter This Brian Michael Bendis and Marc Andreyko graphic novel has been bouncing around through Hollywood since 2006 (see “‘Torso’ Heads for Big Screen“), and had last been in the hands of Paramount in 2017 (see “Torso“).  Vertigo’s Roy Lee and Subconscious productions’ Zach Cregger will produce for this film project.Source: ICv2
