Ghost-Spider Teams Up with Spider-Punk

Ghost-Spider will share the spotlight with Spider-Punk in Ghost-Spider: Broken Chords, a new middle-grade original graphic novel from Scholastic’s Graphix imprint. The story, by writer Roseanne A. Brown and artists Diobelle Cerna and Nabi H. Ali, follows Gwen Stacey as she juggles school, her punk band, and crimefighting as Spider-Gwen. When the spider-powered supervillain Arachnid emerges from another dimension to attack her world, Gwen joins forces with Spider-Punk to figure out where Arachnid came from and how to stop him, and some of Gwen’s own family history is woven into the story as well. The 128-page graphic novel is rated for ages 8-12 and will be released on April 7, 2026, in two formats, as a hardcover with an MSRP of $25.99 and a paperback with an MSRP of $14.99.

Brown has written several Marvel Graphix graphic novels, including one of the stories in Around the Spider-Verse (see “Spider-Man Anthology”) and Black Panther: Into the Heartlands (see “Marvel’s Young Reader Graphic Novels”).
