Heritage Auctions will feature a cornucopia of Pokemon TCG and Magic: The Gathering rarities at their December 12-13, 2025 TCG auction.
The upcoming Heritage TCG auction will essentially act as a thermometer check for the health of the vintage Pokemon and Magic graded singles and sealed product auction scene. For Pokemon TCG, there are several worthy graded singles on the block. The auction will showcase a couple of Gem Mint 10 First Edition Base Set Charizard cards, one graded by PSA, the other by CGC; the PSA-graded card is already pre-bidding at $330,000. There are also a few Pokemon Trophy Pikachu No. 1 cards for sale, one of which is a PSA 9 2nd Tournament Holo (pre-bid $165,000), and an unnumbered PSA 9 CoroCoro Comics 1998 Illustrator card that is pre-bidding at $90,000. Similar cards have fetched six-figure numbers in other auctions (see “Sales Record in 2022” and also, “‘Pokemon TCG’ Single Card Sales“), so it will be interesting to see where the prices land in mid-December 2025.
There are also some noteworthy sealed products up for Magic: The Gathering collectors in this auction. The auction features an open box of Beta boosters (with all of its original booster packs) that is currently fetching $65,000 in pre-bidding, and a sealed box of Arabian Nights that is pre-bidding at $55,000. As far as Magic singles go, the auction also has an CGC 8 Alpha Black Lotus up for sale.
